Scarce American Marked Pewter R. Lee Taster Porringer, late 18th or early 19th century

This marked porringer is very scarce. The mark is cast on the bracket. The openwork handle type is known as "spaghetti" and is similar to Samuel Pierce versions. Fairly substantial in weight given its size and is most likely cast from an early mold.

The bossed bowl measures 2-1/2" diameter and the handle is burnt on with good linen mark. In excellent condition with a few surface imperfections.

$1000
