Samuel Danforth American Pewter 7-7/8" Plate, Late 18th or Early 19th Century



A fine marked 7-7/8" pewter plate by Samuel Danforth of Hartford Connecticut, c. 1795-1816.


The plate is in fine condition with only minor metal imperfections, some knife marks and cuts and some general light wear. Samuel's oval small eagle initial touch mark and large hall marks (J-109) are good as struck. Chatter marks are evident.
