Richard Lee Marked Geometric Embossed Handled Pewter Porringer, 1788-1820



Richard Lee, Sr. was a country wanderer, a tradesman with no formal training. He worked in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Springfield Vermont working approximately 1788-1820. Richard Lee, Jr., c. 1795-1816, worked principally in Vermont but also Massachusetts and possibly Rhode Island.


This taster porringer, with geometric handle embossed with flowers, has a basin bowl that measures 2-1/4" in diameter. The porringer has an excellent linen mark and is in excellent condition.
