An excellent one pint capacity palmette-handled porringer from the Kenrick foundry of West Bromwich England, c. 1830. Archibald Kenrick started his firm in 1791. His nephew Samuel joined him in 1812. In 1827, Samuel was replaced by Archibald's son (also named Archibald). For more information and a similar example, see Fennimore Iron at Winterthur. Originally tinned, this porringer most likely pre-dates the use of enamel linings that developed in the 1830's-1840's.
The ring-footed porringer is 7-5/8" in total length with a 5-3/8" diameter basin. The porringer stands 1-15/16" tall.
Cast-marked on the bottom (in reverse) KENRICK and also stamped One Pint No. 1. In excellent condition.
