Henry Homan American Pewter Sugar Bowl, ca. 1855

H. Henry Homan apprenticed with Sellew & Co until around 1847 when he joined into partnership with Asa F. Flagg. With the more recently recorded H. Homan mark and set identifier Roman numeral IX, this Cincinnati Ohio sugar bowl dates from the 1851-1856 era in the period after Henry Homan split from the Flagg & Homan partnership and probably before joining forces with W.M. Miller when the firm became known as Homan & Co. Henry died in 1865. (See Wiggins Flagg and Homan: Historical Notes hoosierpewter.com/homan).

Fashionably Victorian, and in excellent condition with just a few lower body abrasions.
