English Pewter Snuffbox, Marked JA, ca. 1800



Rare marked pewter snuffbox, probably English and late 18th or early 19th century. The box is marked JA, an unrecorded (so far) touchmark. Simple wrigglework around the door. Hinge is intact and closes and snaps shut nicely. Usual wear, darker color interior, but no damage. Approximately 3-3/8" long, 1-3/4" wide, 7/8" high.
