An excellent 7-7/8 inch diameter American pewter basin by Samuel Pierce 1792-1830, Greenfield MA

Born in Middletown CT, Samuel Pierce likely trained under the Danforth clan, possibly Joseph. Working in Greenfield Massachusetts, Samuel's pewter is typically of good quality.

Although there are some signs of wear, and surface blemishes, turnings are still evident. In excellent overall condition with a very good touch mark.
