Thomas Danforth Boardman Pint Pewter Mug, 1804-1820

A pint pewter mug by Thomas Danforth Boardman of early form, ca. 1804-1820. The mug is strongly marked on the outside bottom with the Boardman "X" quality mark and faintly marked with the TDB oval eagle mark (J-38). Although faint, the touchmark retains evidence of the dot border that was eventually lost when the die was recut later in Boardman's career.

The mug is in fine overall condition.
