Frederick Bassett  Pewter Quart Tankard 1761-1800

A double-dome top ball-terminal handle quart tankard by Frederick Bassett of New York and Connecticut.
Frederick, youngest child of John Bassett, grew up and first worked in New York, then worked in Hartford
Connecticut from about 1780-1785, and subsequently moved back to New York to finish his career that ended
with his death in 1800.   The tankard is in excellent overall condition. The interior base touchmark (J-27) is very
faint.
