Decorated Footed Iron Scissor-Form Candle Snuffer, 19th century

A very interesting footed paint decorated ornate scissor-form iron candle snuffer from the early to mid-nineteenth
century. The snuffer was usually used in conjunction with a cone-shaped extinguisher, both held on a tinned-iron or
other metal tray.

In excellent overall condition, the leaf and circle paint decorated snuffer has some paint losses. The snuffer measures
approximately 6-1/2" in length.
